Jonathan Overman is the founder of Overbird Law, where he leads a practice dedicated to personal injury, criminal defense, civil litigation, and administrative law. A fierce advocate for his clients, Jonathan combines courtroom tenacity with genuine compassion for the people he represents.
After earning his undergraduate degree from Clemson University, Jonathan attended Thomas M. Cooley Law School, where he developed a passion for trial advocacy. He was admitted to the Georgia Bar in 2015 and quickly distinguished himself through his commitment to aggressive, results-driven representation.
In addition to founding Overbird Law, Jonathan currently serves as a Special Assistant Attorney General for the State of Georgia, where he handles complex government litigation and regulatory matters. This role provides invaluable insight into how government agencies operate — knowledge that now benefits his clients in both criminal defense and administrative proceedings.
An Eagle Scout, Jonathan brings the same dedication, integrity, and preparation to his legal practice that earned him scouting's highest honor. He is recognized as a Lawyer of Distinction (2020) and was named Best of Georgia (2021).
